"Goals & Hopes"

My teaching philosophy starts with a concern for my student’s goals and hopes in learning English. One of my teaching roles is to explore student needs and improve their communicative competence. I, therefore, select communicative activities or design them myself so that new language forms transfer from the classroom to the outside world.

"Self-directed Learning"

My predominant objective is to develop a self-directed learning environment where students learn through interaction and collaboration with the help of technology. Students are given tasks that encourage negotiation of meaning.

"Multifaceted and Challenging"

Over the years, I have come to view teaching as a very multifaceted and challenging vocation. Although I think I have gathered a great deal of teacher training, knowledge and experience I still feel I have so much to learn/improve upon. I am looking forward to more years of professional growth and plan on continuing to share what I have learned with my students in order to help them to become better learners and citizens.

The purpose of human life is to serve and to show compassion and the will to help others.

- Albert Schweitzer
