As a teacher, I believe it is important to continually seek to deepen your knowledge of the field. New research and techniques are being published every day and if we do not take as much of this in as possible, we remain stagnant in our ways. Thirty-five years from now, I want to be a teacher with thirty-five years of experience, not a teacher who has been around for thirty-five years, with one year of experience. After all, I am trying to help students learn - if I have forgotten how to do so myself, how will I ever succeed?
